Only one month remains in my library’s adult summer reading contest, and all is going well! In a challenge that asks our customers to try books that span different genres, characters, settings, and cover art, we have had a great response and are steadily receiving turned-in game boards.
Fellow librarians, I challenge you to challenge your customers to think outside of their reading box and try new things. They may just find something that they love!

Check out the adult summer reading contest that I made for my library!
The premise is basically a mix-and-match game. There are three different gameboards that have spaces for different genres, cover art, characters, and settings. Each card has 12 spaces and customers can turn in as many as they’re able to, so long as they don’t use a book more than once to fill a space.
So far the games have been in high demand and we keep having to print more out! (You can click on the small thumbnails at the bottom to see each of the three gameboards in more detail.)
Does your library do special programs for adults in the summer?
